Course summary

EA Technology offers the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering – Transmission and Distribution (2304-17) as a distance learning course. 

This qualification has been developed in association with industry employers and the sector skills council Energy & Utility Skills (EU Skills) and serves as the knowledge component in the Apprenticeship Standards.

Through self study and assistance via industry tutors, it allows candidates to gain the knowledge required for employment and/or career progression in electricity distribution and transmission.

Course itinerary

  • Understanding legislation in the power industry
  • Mathematics, mechanical and electrical theory in power engineering
  • Power engineering electrical networks, plant and apparatus
  • Power engineering cables, substations and overhead lines

Unit exams are held at our head office in Capenhurst, Chester. Further details can be provided upon request.
