Chief Executive Officer

Gareth Burton joined EA Technology in February 2026, leading the business into its next phase of growth, expanding our hardware and software capabilities, step-changing our international presence, and continuing to deliver even greater value for customers through our core propositions.

Gareth brings deep experience scaling technology-led businesses, leading international teams, and translating complex capability into meaningful customer outcomes. Most recently, he was CEO of Orbus Software, a global enterprise architecture software business. Over three and a half years, he led a team of around 300 people across the UK, Australia, the US and the Middle East, more than doubling revenue.

Prior to this, Gareth led Thinkproject, a European construction technology software company, guiding a significant transformation, delivering strong revenue growth and executing an active M&A strategy, culminating in the successful sale of the company in 2020.

Earlier in his career, Gareth served as CIO at Finastra and held senior technology leadership roles across the construction and oil & gas sectors. He began his career in international development roles at Motorola and BT, ultimately leading Motorola’s global Managed Services business, and has also previously chaired Actico Group.

Gareth holds a BSc from Swansea University and is a graduate of the INSEAD International Executive Programme. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, cycling and travel, and is a keen supporter of Welsh rugby.

Chief Operating Officer

Ian Cameron is Chief Operating Officer at EA Technology.

Ian has over 25 years of international experience in the electricity distribution networks industry, with expertise spanning network operations, capital construction, and connections. His work over the past decade has focused on renewables and process optimization, driving innovative approaches to Net Zero challenges.

Under his leadership, more than 5GW of renewable generation was connected to the UK grid, and his innovation products have resulted in savings exceeding £420 million for customer. Ian’s commitment to advancing commercial and technological innovation aligns with his dedication to meeting the UK's secure, low-carbon energy needs and achieving Net Zero targets.

Ian holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. He has also served in several strategic advisory roles, including positions on the Mayor of London’s EV Taskforce and the Ofgem £450m Strategic Innovation Fund Advisory Board.

Chief Growth Officer

Jane Hoffer is Chief Growth Officer at EA Technology, bringing more than 20 years of global leadership experience across the energy, mobility and infrastructure sectors. She has held senior executive roles including CEO, COO, Founder and Chief Business Officer, with a strong track record of scaling technology-led businesses, driving international growth, and supporting successful investment and exit outcomes.

Jane has led geographically dispersed teams across nearly 40 countries and built strategic partnerships with major global energy players. In her role at EA Technology, she has executive responsibility for the company’s USA and European operations, playing a key role in delivering EA Technology’s international growth ambitions.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and has previously worked at IBM and Bell Labs. She was recognised as a Top Woman in EV Strategy in 2022 and is a regular speaker at international industry events

Chief Technology Officer

Dave is the Chief Technology Officer of EA Technology’s VisNet Monitoring business, where he drives the execution of it’s rapidly growing hardware and data insights portfolio for Low Voltage grids. 

With over 24 years of experience in the power sector, Dave’s career has covered innovation, energy decarbonisation, and the implementation of cutting-edge technology. As a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, he has a proven track record in international business development and successfully delivered major sales and innovative projects, including the UK's largest grid/electric vehicle trials.

Outside of work, he is a surfer, snowboarder, and reluctant runner, living with his wife and two sons in North Wales.

Amanda Mesler is an experienced chair and board director with a strong track record in fintech, payments and regulated infrastructure. She brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience, including CEO roles, board positions at National Grid and Amadeus, and leadership at Minna Technologies, which was acquired by Mastercard in 2024. Her background combines commercial growth, governance and successful exit experience, making her well placed to support EA Technology’s next phase of strategic expansion.  

Gisle Gluck is a partner at Summa Equity and leads the work of the individual investment teams. Earlier in his career he worked in a variety of sectors at the intersection between technology and commerce. Gisle believes strongly in Summa’s purpose driven investment philosophy. Companies are the cornerstone of society and by ensuring that capital is directed towards those with a positive impact, Summa contributes positively to the many challenges faced today. He has an analytical and open-minded approach to complex challenges and an innovative spirit that fosters creativity and opportunities to work with technology companies. He has broad experience from McKinsey, Head of M&A in Schibsted Media Group, working with government ownership for the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and from setting up a corporate venture investment unit for AF Gruppen. 

Gustav Lindberg is an investment director at Summa Equity. He believes solving the global challenges of today will require the biggest capital reallocation of our generation and joined Summa to be part of the solution. He firmly believes in Summa’s vision and strategy and is excited to contribute to the journey as part of an amazing team. 

Prior to joining Summa, he was a Principal at Blackstone in London. Before Blackstone, he worked at Antin Infrastructure Partners and J.P. Morgan. 

Cecilia Qvist is an accomplished international executive and board leader with broad experience across telecoms, digital platforms, consumer technology and listed-company governance. She has held senior roles at Spotify, Ericsson and Swedbank, and has also served on major Nordic boards including Kinnevik, with additional public-company and chair experience. She brings a strong global perspective to EA Technology, particularly in scaling international businesses, digital growth and governance in fast-evolving markets. 
 

Lionel Paillet brings strong international scale-up and commercial leadership experience from some of the world’s best-known technology businesses. His career includes senior roles at Apple, Google’s Nest business and travel-tech scale-up Impala, giving him first-hand experience of growth from launch through to major expansion. He adds particular value in software monetisation, international go-to-market and helping technology businesses translate innovation into scalable commercial success.
