EA Technology Australia will be participating in the CIDER 2022 conference hosted by Cigre Australia. This conference focusses on the integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) in Asia Pacific and will be packed with networking sessions, exhibitions and presentations around hot topics like - DER enablement, microgrids, energy storage and electric vehicles.
Yogendra Vashishtha, our head of future networks at EA Technology Australia will be presenting on the topic "Enhanced flexibility on the LV networks - Enabling a successful DER integration into the LV networks".

The energy industry is undergoing a green industrial revolution and is facing an adaptive challenge which calls for a transformational change within the energy industry. At the centre of this challenge are low voltage networks - as their existing predictive nature is no longer fit for purpose. Enhanced flexibility of LV networks is essential to successfully integrate the rapid uptake of DERs and ultimately enable decarbonisation.
In his presentation, Yogendra will be covering:
1) LV Network Modelling
- Hosting capacity studies carried out by EA Technology for DNSPs - to determine the most cost-effective investment strategy for the grid to meet demands of the future
2) LV Network Monitoring
- Drill down into data below the substation level
- Use the right data and actionable insights to inform operational decisions around power quality and network imbalance issues
3) On-line Tools for DER Integration
- Developed to integrate transport planning with electricity network planning
- Ensure EV chargers are installed in the right location where there is sufficient network capacity for the required connections
