Network Transformation
As we transition to net zero, data—particularly around the low-voltage network will become increasingly important.
New demands on the network from the cars we drive, to the way we heat/cool or repower our homes will change the traditional power flow and role of the electricity network.
In order to get the most out of LV networks, 2 things are becoming more of a necessity:
1) Modelling to show where the capacity exists - with increasing sharing of this data to the public
2) Monitoring to understand how demand moves on a daily/weekly/monthly basis - to ensure that the network operates up to (but not beyond) its limit
