Client: An Australian Distribution Network Service Provider (DNSP)
The client engaged EA Technology to develop a cohesive roadmap that:
- Shows how existing initiatives contribute to the delivery timeline of a customer centric, DER-enabled network
- Identifies new initiatives to complete this transition
Our Approach
EA Technology partnered with Marchment Hill Consulting to deliver this engagement. Our role in supporting the client included:
- Creation of a capability model framework that is consistent with integration into the Australian network operators’ wider business planning through the establishment of 1) Compatible DSO domains 2) Capability maturity levels from basic to advance 3) leading and future competency
- Mapping the Australian network operators' current, projected and target capability maturity levels over time onto the model framework - as understood from comprehensive literature review of current projects and initiatives relevant to DSO, and their vision for the future DER-enabled network
- Validation of the capability model through stakeholder interviews and workshops to ensure our interpretation met their needs
We further supported Marchment Hill Consulting in identifying how new projects and initiatives may advance the various capabilities from the projected to target network state. This resulted in the final roadmap for the client’s network transition.
