WEBINAR 08: Calculating Asset Health and Risk using CNAIM: Part 7 - Data Quality and Mapping

Wednesday 3rd April 2024 (12:00 BST /13:00 CEST)                                                                                                       This is the final part of our webinar series showcasing CNAIM and within it, we will consider the processes that sit on its fringes, namely data quality and data mapping.

The data mapping process accepts corporate data and maps it into the format required for CNAIM. This is an essential process within Great Britain because the CNAIM inputs are fixed, yet the network operators have the flexibility to collect much more data according to their own needs. For other organisations, we look at the role of data mapping as a way of retaining commonality and simplicity within the core models.

We will then consider three main factors that makeup data quality: completeness, timeliness, and consistency. We will provide information on what should be considered, how it can be quantified, and strategies for data management. Finally, we will look at ways of optimising the data collected so that companies with fewer data can start to benefit from what they have got and determine strategic methods for further collection.
