Electrical Distribution Engineering Programme (EDEP)
The Electrical Distribution Engineering Programme (EDEP) is a comprehensive, self-paced, online training programme tailored for power engineering professionals.
Designed and delivered by EA Training with City & Guilds accreditation, it comprises eight technical modules that span the breadth of electricity distribution system knowledge, from component-level design and operation to network-wide planning and regulation.
The programme is structured to build competence in key areas including transformers, protection systems, cables and network design, supporting professional development across utilities, asset management, and engineering roles.
How is it delivered?
- 8 modules, approximately 20 hours each
- 160 hours total to complete
The programme is fully online and hosted via a Learning Management System (LMS). It is self-paced and structured, so that the topics in each module build on the knowledge gained previously.
The content is delivered in a rich multimedia format including structured text, interactive diagrams and clickables, knowledge check activities throughout and summative assessments. Online support is available via email or message, with responses provided within 48 hours.
