Permanently Mounted HFCT
HFCTs allow online, in service, non-invasive testing of shielded MV / HV cables for partial discharge.
Permanently installing the HFCTs allows the asset owner to test these cables any time with no impact on the power system.

The HFCT needs to be installed on the ground strap of MV/HV cables to run partial discharge tests.
Installing the HFCT permanently and bringing the connections out to a user accessible location allows test to be run at any time. Periodic surveys can be undertaken under any conditions and future full-time monitoring can be added with no outage.
The EA HFCT and previous generation RFCT can safely be installed in most indoor enclosures. EA has custom designed outdoor versions of the HFCT for applications like riser poles or substation structures.
EA has a range of weatherproof connection point options like closable and lockable test boxes, or panel mounted connectors.
